Camp Gan Israel of The Hamptons prides itself on its exceptional staff. All staff come with prior camp experience and a desire to work with kids. Bunk sizes are kept small and well staffed. Our camp-staff ratio is excellent, ensuring the best possible care, instruction and supervision for our children.

 

Camp Director

 Mrs. Leiba Baumgarten brings over ten years of experience with youth programming to our camp. Her passion for providing authentic and exciting Jewish experiences for children sets the tone for all of our staff. Parents, staff members, and campers alike all connect easily with Morah Leiba, creating an overall warm environment. Morah Leiba leads our staff with joy, professionalism, and a deep sense of purpose, ensuring that every child feels valued, nurtured, and excited to be part of our camp each day.

 

Mini Gan Lead Teacher

 Morah Chana Weiss brings over 15 years of experience in the preschool classroom to our Mini Gan campers. Her bright smile greets each child and starts the day with so much love. Morah Chana creates a warm, safe, and nurturing environment where children feel comfortable to explore and grow. With professionalism and care, she leads her assistants with clarity and teamwork, setting a strong tone in the classroom. Her creative programming ensures that every moment is engaging, and she naturally turns each interaction into an opportunity for both fun and meaningful learning.

 

Camp Counselors

The real secret to our success lies in our outstanding staff.  Our counselors are known for their personal warmth and their ability to care for each child as an individual. Many staff members return year after year, lending experience and continuity to all programs. Each counselor is a role model for our children, promising them friendship which will last forever.
